In Ireland the national issue of the EN 12566-3:2005+A1:2009 (resp. I.S. EN 12566-1:2000+A1:2003) was published with an additional National Annex NA, which claims a confirmation, that a Notified Test Laboratory has tested the treatment plant to the EN 12566 Standards and specifies requirements for the intended use of the systems.
Within the National Annex for Part 3 of the EN 12566 an important addition are the compulsory final effluent quality limits:
BOD5 mg/l < 20 for an average BOD influent of 300 mg/l or greater.
Suspended solids mg/l < 30
Ammonium nitrogen mg/l NH4-N < 20
Whereas in nutrient sensitive areas the Local Authority may require a lower limit.
In agreement with the Irish Department of Environment PIA GmbH presents a list of manufacturers whose products have been tested by a Notified Body in accordance with the relevant parts of EN 12566 and additionally meet the values specified in the Irish National Annex Table NA1 and Table NA2.
